We are pleased to announce the availability of FLARM Software 7.40 for Classic and PowerFLARM generations. The new software no longer includes an expiration date and is now ready for download. This marks the completion of the update policy change announced earlier this year.
The new software leverages the Dynamic Message Versioning (DMV) system, which governs the communication between FLARM devices and eliminates the need for repeated updates. DMV was seamlessly introduced during the radio protocol update of last spring, after years of development and careful planning. Thus, this highly demanding project has successfully come to an end. Our heartfelt thanks go to our dedicated development team, who tackled this challenge with great commitment, precision, and persistence, delivering outstanding results!
Nonetheless, it remains important to keep devices up to date to ensure maximum safety and functionality.
